Level 4
Professional Accounting Technician apprenticeship
During this apprenticeship, you’ll study the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting qualification, where you’ll learn specialised skills for complex accounting tasks. You’ll receive training in drafting financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance. You’ll also have the opportunity to specialise in areas from tax to auditing and credit control.
The Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting is made up of five units in total. Three of these units are mandatory:
- Applied Management Accounting
- Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements
- Internal Accounting Systems and Controls
You’ll then choose two specialist units to study, from a choice of five, including:
- Business Tax
- Personal Tax
- Audit and Assurance
- Cash and Financial Management
- Credit and Debt Management
You’ll complete assessments for each of these units, as well as an End Point Assessment where you’ll demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you’ve learned throughout your apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the required skills to undertake the role of a Professional Accounting Technician, or Accountant.
