Accounts/ Finance Assistant apprenticeship
During this apprenticeship, you’ll study the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting qualification. This delivers a solid foundation in finance administration, covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles and using accounting software. You’ll gain a solid grounding in the fundamental skills and knowledge needed for junior and entry-level accounting roles, including accountancy, business and communications skills.
The Level 2 Certificate in Accounting is made up of four mandatory units:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
- The Business Environment
You’ll complete assessments for each of these units, as well as an End Point Assessment where you’ll demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours you’ve learned throughout your apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the skills needed to undertake the role of an Accounts or Finance Assistant.
